Aims and Objectives: To give presenters more time and confidence with which to deliver a more effective presentation – the course covers a range of practical tips and advice as well as dealing with the issues which, when understood, can help to deliver top class presentations.
♦ You and your audience – increasing you understanding of who you are and who they are. Finding the best techniques which play to your strengths – and developing ways of overcoming and dealing with your particular fears or nerves when faced with a room full of people
♦ Getting prepared – powerpoint or not? Help deciding on the best media and methods to achieve the objectives of the presentation.
♦ Conveying Information – making sure that you do not compete with your presentation material, and that you make it easy for the audience to absorb your message.
♦ Controlling an Audience – sounds demanding but it isn’t – how to show them respect, and use techniques to remain professional and in control of yourself and your audience.
♦ Dealing with Questions and Managing Answers – lots of ways of buying time, and satisfying the questioner – as well as the rest of the onlookers. These are the techniques you need if your biggest fear is being asked that killer question!
♦ Gaining Commitments – how to ask the audience to support your proposal, or to commit to your project, or to participate in order to accept the information you have presented to them.

“I have been presenting for 12 years and learnt quite a lot from you in just 30 minutes; I can’t wait to attend your full Presentation Skills training day!”

“I thought this course was excellent as you can tell by my markings.  It was the first time I had attended a course on Presentation Skills and was a little dubious that it would be able to deal with my specific requirements however I was impressed by the knowledge and techniques that I gained over this relatively short period of time in a class of varying experience.  This in my opinion was down to Mr Ratten and his vast knowledge and interesting method of teaching.  I was very impressed.”

“I got a lot out of this course. Delivery & clarity was probably the best I have experienced.”
