The Job

London is moving east and Newham is at the centre of that change. We are the future of the capital in terms of regeneration and opportunities and a host borough for the 2012 Games. We are a great place to do business, a great place to visit, and a great place where people choose to live, work and stay.

We are looking to recruit a highly-talented marketing and information manager to our communications team who shares our ambition for the borough and wants to be part of a success story. We need an experienced person to lead, manage and deliver a council-wide programme of marketing and design communications in line with our corporate priorities. We need someone who can promote a positive image of the council and explain our policies and campaigns to residents, businesses, visitors, council employees, tourists and other target groups, as well as managing the council brand.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be experienced in marketing communications, channels and methods; creating strategic marketing campaigns that have achieved results; service communications in a large organisation and managing complex workloads effectively, allocating resources accordingly and managing performance and professional development of staff.

Additional Information

Closing date for applications 27th May 2012
